Using the background of Close Reading, iPads can make our lessons more engaging for students. In this class, you will experience how a tech-rich literacy lesson feels. We’ll also discuss ideas for apps and the functions they can serve in your lessons, and look at some technology infused lessons for science and social studies. For the lesson simulation, we'll use a program for writing on a PDF, voice to text, QR reader, applications accessible through an internet browser, and email.
This session will give a few simple ideas on how to use discussion, online and in class, to help students think deeper and show evidence for their learning. We will discuss questions to ask, setting up discussion guidelines, and how to incorporate talk and argument in any subject.
Come learn about social media and how you can use it in your classroom. We will go over different social media sites and how best you can use them in your school/classroom to communicate with your parents and students.
